The scoreboard at Chatworth High School’s gym provided most of the trouble as the digital-face readout popped out and just hung by wires, still lit. It didn’t keep Kennedy High from routing Chatsworth in a Valley 4-A League win. It was Kennedy’s 65th straight win in the league, five this season. Overall the Golden Cougars are 12-4. Chatsworth is 2-3 in the league.

Stacy Parson, the junior guard, scored 21 points, had 21 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Diane DeCree, a sophomore six-footer, had 16 rebounds to go along with her 15 points.

Kennedy had it easy from the start with an, 18-5, first period lead on its way to a 33-13 margin at halftime.

Chatsworth, with two starters missing due to injuries, couldn’t stay with the Kennedy subs in the second half. Kennedy will be going for its 66th straight league win Friday at Grant.
