Turnbull, Davis Lead Chapman to Win

Troy Turnbull and Terry Davis defeated Rob Pritzkow and Tom Zalmon in No. 1 doubles Sunday to help No. 2-ranked Chapman edge No. 3 Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 5-4, in a men’s California Collegiate Athletic Assn. tennis match at Orange.

The match was tied, 3-3, after singles play, but the Panthers (4-0 in CCAA and 7-5 overall) won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to gain the victory over Cal Poly (5-1, 9-2).

Turnbull also won in No. 1 singles, defeating Brian Bass, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. Davis won in No. 2 singles edging David Reynoldson, 6-4, 7-5.
