Saddleback Swims Past Cerritos

The Saddleback College men’s and women’s swim teams improved their dual-meet records to 3-0 with victories over Cerritos in the Falcons’ pool.

Manny Gutierrez, who swam for Panama in the 1984 Olympics, led the men’s team to an 88-15 triumph. He won the 200-yard individual medley, the 500 freestyle and was on the winning 400 medley relay team.

Nikki Moffat and Patti Smith led the Gaucho women to an 80-51 win. Moffat won the 500 freestyle, the 100 butterfly, the 100 breaststroke and Smith won the 200 individual medley and the 50 backstroke. Both were on the winning 200 free relay team.
