After 96 Years, Tiffin Picks a Football Coach

TIFFIN, Ohio — Tiffin University has picked Roger Kirkhart, 42, to be the first football coach in the school’s 96-year history.
Kirkhart, who coached Tiffin Calvert High School football for 11 years, compiled a 78-34-5 record and led teams to Division V championships in 1980 and 1981 and to seven conference titles.
Tiffin University, with an enrollment of 550 students, currently offers basketball and other sports.
Assistant coaches still have to be chosen. The Dragons plan to use a county high school field for home games.
