UC Irvine Crew Beats Cal State Long Beach

The UC Irvine crew’s varsity eight covered the 2,000-meter course in 6:26 Saturday to defeat Cal State Long Beach in a dual race in the North Lido Channel of Newport Harbor. The Anteaters also won the novice and freshman eight races, while Long Beach won the junior varsity eights.

In a separate tri-meet on Newport Harbor on Saturday, the Orange Coast College crew won four races over San Diego State and UCLA--the varsity fours, junior varsity eights, freshman eights and novice eights.
