Local News in Brief : Injury Interrupts Apparent Burglar
Aman in his mid-20s was seriously injured Tuesday when he grabbed a power line and fell, apparently while attempting to burglarize an Arleta warehouse, police said.
Sgt. Louis Page said the unidentified man broke into a concrete transformer building behind a Target Stores warehouse on Laurel Canyon Boulevard sometime Tuesday evening. But, while scaling a power pole extending through the top of the transformer room, the man touched an 18,000-volt line and fell 25 feet to the ground, Page said.
City workers found the man lying behind the warehouse early Wednesday morning.
