Dominguez Hills Dumps Chapman

Cal State Dominguez Hills got RBI doubles from first baseman Kevin Whalen and third baseman Fred Harker to beat Chapman College, 5-1, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. game Wednesday in Hart Park at Orange.
Whalen and Harker each had two RBIs. Dominguez pitcher Mike Strong (6-1) went the distance for the win. Strong struck out one and walked three.
Chapman third baseman Eli Amaya hit a solo home run in his last home at bat to give the Panthers (9-20, 21-29) their only run. The Toros are 18-10, 32-23.
