Fullerton, Santa Ana Open Softball Regionals
Fullerton College, the No. 1-seeded team and South Coast conference champion, will face El Camino College today in the Southern California Community College softball regional tournament at Golden West College.
The Hornets (27-7) are led by pitcher Lisa Fresquez, who was named to the conference’s first team along with teammates Debbie Ness and Rosie Muckenthaler.
Pitchers Chris Makimoto and Alani Silva, who was named the conference’s MVP for the second consecutive year, will lead Santa Ana College (33-2), expected to be the Hornets’ toughest challenger.
The Dons will face Pasadena today.
