A homeless 50-year-old woman, brutally beaten and raped on a Skid Row street corner, was reported in critical condition in the intensive care unit at County-USC Medical Center. Police Sgt. Bino Hernandez arrested Adolph Worthy, 36, an hour after the attack at 3rd and Main streets when a witnesses pointed him out as the suspect. A police spokesman said Worthy was booked on suspicion of attempted murder. The unidentified woman suffered severe head injuries and was still unconscious at last report.
