Kudos to Al Campanis for Not Striking Out

A high-five to Mr. Al Campanis for protecting home plate. After taking one strike for failing to sign Gary Carter when he was offered to the Dodgers, and then taking Strike 2 for not even attempting to connect with a proven all-star by the name of Rickey Henderson, he finally hit one up the alley by signing Bill Madlock, who will knock in runs that were otherwise being stranded in record numbers.
