El Modena High School remained the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep football poll, gaining nine of a 10 first-place votes. Servite, ranked second, received the other first-place vote.

The Vanguards, 4-0, will meet Century League rival Foothill, 2-2, Thursday night in Fred Kelly Stadium in the featured game of the week.

After four weeks, there are only 10 undefeated teams in the county, and Santiago is the only large school with an undefeated record that is not represented in the poll.
