Loyola Marymount University sophomore Cathy Petrissans is the West Coast Athletic Conference volleyball player of the week, the first Loyola player to be selected. Petrissans, a middle hitter-blocker, had 17 kills and a .437 percentage in a victory last week over Northern Arizona. The non-conference victory broke a three-match losing streak. The Lions, 8-9, resume WCAC play Saturday at Nevada-Reno.
