New Mexico State Signs DeBrouwer

Ocean View High School point guard Blaine DeBrouwer has signed a national letter of intent to attend New Mexico State on a basketball scholarship.

DeBrouwer, a six-foot senior, averaged 12 points and 6 assists for the Seahawks last season. He helped Ocean View to a 24-4 record and advance to the Southern Section 5-A division championship game.

Mike Vogtmann, a 6-8 senior center, announced he has made a verbal commitment to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Vogtmann 15.7 points and 11.6 rebounds for the Seahawks’ junior varsity team last year.
