Simi Valley 62, Burbank 52 HIGHLIGHTS: Simi Valley’s Pioneers took a six-point lead in the first period behind the scoring of 6-8 center Don Maclean who scored eight points in the quarter--all on jump shots. . . . In the third period forward Bryan Chandler scored on a 10-foot jump shot to give Burbank’s Bulldogs a one-point lead, 37-36. . . . But Simi Valley came back behind Maclean who scored a 20-foot jump shot to return the lead to the Pioneers late in the third quarter.
