CSUN Women Steal Game From Pitzer

Cal State Northridge never trailed Wednesday night at Pomona-Pitzer, leading by eight at the half and busting the game open with an agressive defense after intermission to win, 58-47.

The Lady Matadors made 12 steals in the second half, taking a 44-30 lead with 10:36 remaining. Center Denise Sitton was held scoreless, but led Northridge with six steals.

Northridge (5-1) got 14 points off the bench from guard Lori Costello and 14 from forward Tara Flanagan. Only 20 fouls were called in the game, with Northridge hitting 6 of 9 free-throw attempts and Pomona-Pitzer (3-2) making 7 of 11.
