The Raiders and the Chicago Bears each placed four players on the Professional Football Writers of America All-Pro team.
The Raiders named were running back Marcus Allen, tight end Todd Christensen, cornerback Mike Haynes and defensive end Howie Long. Representing the Bears were running back Walter Payton, tackle Jim Covert, defensive end Richard Dent and inside linebacker Mike Singletary.
Two Rams, punter Dale Hatcher and kick returner Ron Brown, were named to the defensive team.
