CSUN Swim Teams Rout UC Riverside

The Cal State Northridge men’s swim team, bouncing back from Friday’s loss at Cal State Bakersfield, routed visiting UC Riverside, 86-9, Saturday at the CSUN Pool.

The CSUN women (6-1) were led by Heather Laurie, who took the 200 freestyle (2:03.59) and the 500 freestyle (5:29.04), to an 79-21 victory over UC Riverside. The men (6-1) won every event but the 400 medley relay. Double winners for CSUN were Jesse Kelley in the 100 freestyle (10:08.17) and 200 individual medley (2:02.92); Scott Warren in the 50 freestyle (22.88) and 100 freestyle (49.06); and Jeff Kubiak in the 100 butterfly (54.82) and the 500 freestyle (4:42.82).
