Imperial Valley College Rallies to 84-83 Win
SAN DIEGO —
Imperial Valley College overcame an early 17-point deficit Wednesday night to defeat San Diego City College, 84-83, in a Pacific Coast Conference men’s basketball game.
The Arabs (3-1, 14-8) trailed, 21-4, after five minutes of play, but rallied and took the lead for good, 33-32, when Wilbur Hawkins sank two free throws with 3:19 left in the first half. Michael Benton led IVC with 22 points. Moulden Kennard scored 25 points and had 9 rebounds for San Diego.
