UC San Diego Splits With West Coast Christian

UC San Diego opened the 1986 baseball season by splitting a doubleheader with West Coast Christian College Saturday in Fresno. UCSD won the opener, 11-1, and WCCC came back to win the second game, 1-0.
Bobby Natal’s three hits and four RBIs, including a solo home run, led a 15-hit Triton attack in the first game. David Stanvich also collected three hits and Derek Alkonis, Don Petersen and Thad Ferre each had two.
UCSD will play host to the University of San Diego at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
