Local News in Brief : 2 Stores Gutted, 5 Damaged in Van Nuys Blvd. Fire
A fire of undetermined origin gutted two stores in the 6000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard on Sunday night, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman reported.
Five additional shops sustained varying degrees of damage in the blaze, which was reported to the Fire Department at 8:52 p.m.
The destroyed stores were a beauty supply store and a fabric shop.
No damage estimate was available and there were no reports of injuries, the spokesman said.
