San Diego Section Soccer Pairings

Bonita Vista has been seeded No. 1 in the San Diego Section 3-A boys’ soccer playoffs which begin Tuesday. Also earning top seeds were University City (2-A boys), Grossmont (3-A girls) and San Pasqual (2-A girls).

All first-round games will be played at 3:30 p.m. unless indicated otherwise.

Boys’ 3-A

Tuesday: Valhalla (15-4-2) at No. 3 Mount Carmel (15-6-2) and Serra (11-4-4) vs. Bonita Vista (15-2-3) at 7 p.m. at Southwestern College. Wednesday: Vista (15-5-4) at No. 4 Mira Mesa (12-3-4) at 7 and Hilltop (10-2-1 in league) at No. 2 Grossmont (18-2-2) at 8.

Boys’ 2-A

Tuesday: Calvin Christian (11-4) at Carlsbad (12-4-3) and San Marcos (14-8-2) at Castle Park (10-8-4). Wednesday: La Jolla (16-2-2) at Parker (12-3) and Clairemont (9-6-3) at St. Augustine (12-6-2) at 3. Note: There are 12 teams in the boys’ 2-A playoffs and the first four seeds drew byes in the opening round. The other seeded teams are No. 2 Ramona (14-2-5), No. 3 San Diego (13-4-2) and No. 4 Southwest (8-8-3).

Girls’ 3-A

Tuesday: Helix (13-5-1) at No. 3 Poway (16-4-4) and Mira Mesa (16-6) vs. No. 4 Bonita Vista (18-3-2) at 5 p.m at Southwestern College. Wednesday: Chula Vista (12-6) at No. 2 Serra (15-4-2) and Mount Carmel (8-3-1 in league) at Grossmont (16-2-3) at 6.

Girls’ 2-A

Tuesday: Coronado (12-5-2) at No. 2 University (15-2-2) and La Jolla (8-7-2) at No. 4 Christian (10-6-1). Wednesday: Our Lady of Peace (14-7) at San Pasqual (16-3-2) at 5:30 and Ramona (15-3-3) at No. 4 Southwest (15-3-6).
