Camarillo’s Willis Pitches His Second No-Hitter of Season
Travis Willis of Camarillo High pitched his second no-hitter of the season Wednesday as the Scorpions defeated Channel Islands, 3-0, in a Marmonte League baseball game at Camarillo.
Willis (6-1) struck out 10 and faced only two batters more than the minimum. In 49 innings this season, he has struck out 48 and has allowed only 22 hits. Wednesday’s shutout lowered his earned-run average to 1.29.
