Ray Rodriguez has replaced Tosh Nitta as football coach at Bell High School. Rodriguez has been an assistant coach at the school for the past three seasons. Nitta will become the football coach at Sanger High School near Fresno
Blind Nationals
More than 450 top blind athletes will compete Monday through Saturday at Cal State Long Beach in swimming, wrestling, weightlifting, running and other sports. Opening ceremonies for the 10th United States Assn. for Blind Athletes National Championships will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the West Gym. For more information, call (213) 494-7875.
Softball Honors
Audra Jesolva, a freshman left fielder on the Cerritos College softball team, made the all-state first team and the All-South Coast Conference first team after batting .388 in 42 games. Jesolva came to Cerritos from La Mirada High School.
