Montclair Prep 31, L.A. Lutheran 3--With a balanced offensive attack and a stingy defense, Montclair Prep easily defeated L.A. Lutheran in an Alpha League opener at L.A. Baptist High.
L.A. Lutheran, which has only 13 players, managed just 14 yards in total offense. The Mounties totaled 384 yards on offense.
Montclair Prep quarterback Frank Charles completed 12 of 21 passes for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns. Running back Jamal Swinton rushed for 121 yards on 19 carries, including a three-yard touchdown run. Wide receiver Anthony Pack caught four passes for 112 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown reception.
