Long Beach Plays at San Jose State Today
The nation’s top two teams in passing offense will face off today when Cal State Long Beach plays San Jose State at 1:30 p.m. in San Jose’s Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans, 6-0 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. and 8-2 overall, are No. 1 in passing. The 49ers (3-1, 5-3) are No. 2.
San Jose can clinch the PCAA title and a berth in the California Bowl by winning today.
San Jose will play for the second week without starting quarterback Mike Perez, who has an injured shoulder. He will be replaced by Tony Locy.
