Santa Ana 27, Santa Ana Valley 0--Junior tailback Robert Lee and senior wide receiver Darrel Bailey scored two touchdowns apiece to pace the Saints’ victory over the Falcons in front of 3,000 at Eddie West Field.

The victory gives Santa Ana a league record of 5-0 and an overall mark of 9-1. The defending Southern Conference champions advance to the playoffs next week as winners of the Century League.

Santa Ana Valley finishes 1-4 and 2-8.

Lee accounted for 178 of Santa Ana’s 219 yards on the ground. He gave the Saints a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, scoring on a two-yard run. Late in the first half, he broke free for a 73-yard touchdown run and seconds later caught a two-point conversion pass from quarterback Richard Fanti, increasing Santa Ana’s lead to 21-0.

Bailey gave the Saints a 13-0 lead when he caught a 16-yard scoring pass from Fanti midway through the second quarter. Bailey caught another 16-yard touchdown pass from Fanti in the fourth quarter, giving Santa Ana a 27-0 lead.

Fanti completed 6 of 7 passes for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns.
