A diabetic Carson woman missing for five days was found when she reportedly jumped unclothed in front of a truck near 12th Street and Central Avenue near downtown Los Angeles, begging the driver to run over her. Stella Ruth Huse, 45, was reported dehydrated and incoherent after being without insulin. The woman, a diabetic for 15 years, was taken to County-USC Medical Center where she was in fair condition. Mrs. Huse disappeared last Friday when she went to pick up a nephew at the Men’s Central Jail. Three days later, her car was found abandoned in the 300 block of W. Pico Boulevard. Her husband, Jerry Huse, said car trouble may have triggered an insulin reaction. He and the couple’s three adult children spent days handing out flyers in the Skid Row area in an attempt to find her.
