Orange County Girls’ Basketball : Donica Scores 29 to Lead Magnolia

Katie Donica scored 29 points, leading Magnolia (7-1) to a 62-44 first-round victory over Norco in the Eisenhower Tournament. Dawne Borum scored 15 and Rena Rossoll added 12 for the Sentinels, who play Indio, a 58-41 winner over Corona, in a second-round game at 6 p.m. today.

Rubidoux, La Sierra, Eisenhower and Upland also advanced.

In a nonleague game:

Santa Ana 44, Bolsa Grande 34--Junior forward Trina Bruce scored 22 points, including 18 in the first half, to lead Santa Ana (4-4) in a nonleague game at Bolsa Grande. Lisa Flores had 10 for the Matadors (5-4).
