San Francisco 49er quarterback Joe Montana missed practice because of the flu, but he is expected to be back at practice this week and play in Sunday’s playoff game against the New York Giants.
The 49ers, who lost to the Giants in the playoffs last year, are recovering from injuries for this NFC semifinal. Guard John Ayers probably won’t play because of a knee injury and running back Wendell Tyler is listed as questionable.
