Duane Thomas of Detroit will make the first defense of his World Boxing Council super-welterweight title on the undercard of the Marvin Hagler-Sugar Ray Leonard middleweight championship fight April 6 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Thomas will fight Lupe Aquino of Santa Paula, Calif., in a scheduled 12-round bout.
