Costa Mesa : Man Dies Going Wrong Way on Utah Freeway

A Costa Mesa man was killed late Saturday when he drove the wrong way onto a freeway exit ramp in Salt Lake City and collided head-on with another car halfway up the ramp, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Utah state trooper James Dudzinski identified the dead man as Thomas Haas, 27, of Costa Mesa.
The trooper said Haas was killed at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday when he drove onto the 6th South offramp of Interstate 15 and collided with a vehicle driven by Michael Hakimi, 25, of Salt Lake City. Hakimi was listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
Dudzinski said an investigation of the accident was continuing.
