Diamond Bar Wins Boys’ 3-A Soccer Title

Craig Turley scored two goals Saturday night to lead Diamond Bar to a 2-1 victory over Esperanza in the Southern Section 3-A boys’ soccer final at Gahr High in Cerritos.

Turley’s goals gave him 67 this season, a Southern Section and State record. Daren Martinez scored the Aztecs’ goal.

Agoura High School won two Southern Section soccer championships Saturday at Gahr. The Agoura boys beat Oak Park, 1-0, for the 1-A title, while the Agoura girls won the 2-A title with a 4-1 victory over Bonita. In the 2-A boys’ final, Fullerton Sunny Hills beat Brea Olinda, 3-1, and San Gorgonio of San Bernardino won the 3-A girls’ title, defeating Mission Hills Alemany, 2-1.
