University’s Bustos Wins Tennis Championship

Carlos Bustos, the No. 2 singles player at University High School, defeated Chris Numbers, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, to win the 16-and-under championship of the Long Beach tennis tournament Saturday at Cal State Long Beach.

Bustos beat Dax Peterson of Anaheim, 6-2, 6-2, in the semifinals. University (3-0 in league and 7-0 overall) is the first-place team in the Sea View League and the top-ranked team in Orange County.
