In another South Coast Conference game:

El Camino 8, Golden West 7--The Warriors (8-8, 16-9) overcame a 7-1 deficit, scoring three runs in the sixth inning and four in the eighth, for the victory against the Rustlers (7-9, 11-11) at Golden West.

In Orange Empire Conference play:

Rancho Santiago 16, Riverside 1--Bob Brucato’s first-inning grand slam helped lead the Dons to their ninth consecutive victory. Brucato was 3 for 3 with eight RBIs. Mike Gonzales also hit a home run for Rancho Santiago (9-0, 19-3).

Orange Coast 7, Cypress 5--Rex Peters was 3 for 4 with three RBIs and Joey James was 2 for 4 with one RBI to lead the Pirates (7-2, 20-6) past the Chargers at Costa Mesa.

Paul Bunch was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Mike Faddoul was 3 for 4 for Cypress.

Saddleback 12, Citrus 8--Pat Walker hit a three-run double with two outs in the eighth to lead the Gauchos (2-7, 8-13) at home.

Mark Williamson and Bill Lasher hit home runs for Saddleback.
