Wolfe Leads USIU to Sweep in Softball

Becky Wolfe had both game-winning RBIs as United States International University swept a West Coast Athletic Conference softball doubleheader from Santa Clara, 4-0 and 2-1, Friday at USIU.

In the first game, Karen Winkler (2-0, 5-3) pitched a three-hit shutout. In the second game, Wolfe’s triple scored Missy Silacci in the third to give USIU (4-0, 12-7-1) a 2-0 lead. Terry Esquivel (1-0, 4-3) scattered four hits for the victory. Santa Clara falls to 0-4 and 10-15.
