Sophomore Juan Beltran pitched a no-hitter for Castle Park High School in an 11-0 victory over Marian Tuesday in a Metro Conference baseball game at Marian.

Beltran, who had a no-hitter for 6 innings against Crawford in the Lions-Mike Morrow Tournament, wasn’t even supposed to pitch this season.

“We were not going to rush him (this season),” Castle Park Coach Bob Korzep said. “We had a bunch of seniors who we thought would be pretty good. But our senior guys didn’t pitch the way we thought they would.”
