Rams Sign Laughton
SAN DIEGO —
Former San Diego State tight end Jim Laughton was one of 14 free agents signed by the Los Angeles Rams Friday. Laughton, who played for the Seattle Seahawks last season, was signed as a linebacker.
Laughton (6-feet 5-inches, 230 pounds), joined the Aztecs after he spent 2 1/2 years as a pitcher in the Kansas City Royals’ organization. He played tight end in 1981, 1982, 1984 and 1985. He missed the 1983 season for personal reasons.
