Los Angeles police raided a Chatsworth home Wednesday evening and confiscated 46 pounds of marijuana and other drugs with an estimated street value of $210,000, a police spokesman said.

The home’s occupant, Martin Boyd, 24, a part-time pool cleaner, was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, Lt. Gary Rogness said. Boyd is being held at Van Nuys jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Also seized in the 7 p.m. Wednesday raid were 326 grams of psilocybin, a hallucinogenic mushroom, small quantities of hashish, codeine and Valium, 11 guns, two crossbows and scales and other paraphernalia for measuring drugs, Rogness said. The items were found inside a safe, he said.

“This is a rather significant seizure for us,” Rogness said, noting that police believe Boyd to be a large supplier of drugs to street dealers.

The investigation is continuing and other people may be arrested, Rogness said.
