Local News in Brief : Castaic Blaze Burns 25 Acres of Forest
Abrush fire in the Angeles National Forest north of Bouquet Canyon in Castaic burned about 25 acres Sunday, U.S. Forest Service officials said.
At least 45 Los Angeles County firefighters assisted about 100 U.S. Forest Service firefighters in battling the fire, which erupted near Dry Gulch around 1 p.m., U.S. Forest Service dispatcher Bruce Risher said.
Firefighters contained the blaze at about 7 p.m., U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Rita Plair said. No structures or campers were threatened by the fire, and there were no injuries, she said.
The cause of the blaze was still being investigated by fire officials.
