Rojas Stops Marchena and Wins State Title

SACRAMENTO —
Refugio Rojas, 129 1/2, of Durango, Mexico, won the California junior-lightweight title Thursday night by stopping champion Ramon Marchena, 128 1/2, of Sacramento at 1:08 of the sixth round.
Rojas improved his record to 50-10 with 36 knockouts. Marchena is 31-6 with 24 knockouts.
