Orange Lutheran 16, Notre Dame of Riverside 14--Quarterback Jason Neben rushed for 235 yards in 30 carries and completed 4 of 8 passes for 46 yards to lead the Lancers to a come-from-behind victory at Riverside City College.

It took a 22-yard field goal by Del Montell with 51 seconds left to give Orange Lutheran the lead.

Rancho Alamitos 30, Buena Park 14--Senior tailback Sean Cheatham scored all 30 points for the Vaqueros at Garden Grove. The victory snapped Rancho Alamitos’ nine-game losing streak and extended the Coyotes’ winless streak to 28 games. Buena Park is 0-27-1 since 1984.

Cheatham gained 154 yards in 27 carries, completed a pass for 38 yards, scored 4 touchdowns and added three 2-point conversions. He also played defensive back.

With the exception of the second quarter, when they scored both times they had the ball, the Coyotes’ offense had trouble moving the ball. Buena Park finished with 182 total yards, collecting 162 of them in the second quarter.

Cheatham’s first touchdown came midway through the first quarter on a 10-yard run.

The Coyotes, who were held to minus 12 yards total in the first quarter, took a 14-8 lead. A 56-yard run by fullback Joe Brown set up the first score, which was a 13-yard pass from Dave Baylor to wide receiver Carlos Rodriquez.

Following a 49-yard run by Brown, Baylor gave the Coyotes the lead on a six-yard quarterback run.

Rancho Alamitos gained the lead for good with 27 seconds left in the game on a five-yard run by Cheatham. In the second half, Cheatham scored on a one-yard run midway through the third quarter and from three-yards out with 7:19 remaining in the game.
