Last week, USD (2-0) defeated Redlands College, 28-0. These were the first back-to-back shutouts for USD since 1982.

Running back Todd Jackson opened the scoring in the second quarter, when he ran off tackle for a two-yard touchdown. In the third quarter, Scott Slykas ran around end and beat the La Verne secondary, scoring on a 32-yard run.
