Laguna Beach : San Diego Woman Dies in Coast Highway Crash
A 20-year-old San Diego woman was killed early Saturday morning when a car swerved across North Coast Highway and slammed into the car in which she was riding, police said.
Cecilia Biasas was airlifted to Mission Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Thomas Taylor, 23, of Laguna Beach was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicular manslaughter. He was being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, police said.
Taylor was driving his 1986 Ford Bronco north about 1:30 a.m. when he went onto the right shoulder at the Emerald Bay gate, then swerved back across the highway and collided with a southbound car, police said.
Taylor and the other driver, Brrol Lewis Rousseau, 28, of Laguna Niguel, suffered neck and back injuries and were taken to Mission Community Hospital.
City police and the California Highway Patrol are investigating.
