CS Long Beach Takes On PCAA Champion San Jose State and Star Passer Mike Perez
Cal State Long Beach will face San Jose State and its quarterback, Mike Perez, in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. football game at 1 p.m. today at Veterans Stadium in Long Beach.
Perez has thrown for 2,993 yards and 19 touchdowns this season for San Jose, which clinched the PCAA title last week. The Spartans are 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference.
Long Beach (4-5, 2-3) needs to upset the Spartans and beat Utah State next Saturday to give first-year Coach Larry Reisbig a winning season.
