Lazers, Playing at Dallas Tonight, Seek to Equal Club Best of Five Straight Wins
The Lazers will be trying for their fifth consecutive victory, which would equal their best streak, when they play the Dallas Sidekicks tonight at 5:30 at the Reunion Arena in Dallas.
The Lazers last accomplished such a feat during the 1984-85 season, winning their fifth straight game against the Sidekicks in Dallas, then going on to post a 24-24 finish.
The Lazers (4-3) are only a half-game behind the first-place Tacoma Stars and currently have the best road record in the Major Indoor Soccer League at 2-1, but they were 0-2 last season in Dallas and are 1-5 lifetime against the Sidekicks on the road.
One reason for the Lazers’ recent success has been the offensive play of forward Chico Borja, who has eight goals and two assists to lead the club.
The defending MISL champion Sidekicks (4-5) are coming off a 3-2 loss against the Baltimore Blast.
