Joey Kirk and Thor Lee of the Cal State Northridge soccer team have been selected first-team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Assn.
Kirk, CSUN’s career scoring leader, is also a finalist for the Missouri Athletic Club’s player-of-the-year award, which will be announced today. The award goes to the top collegiate soccer player in the nation and is open to all NCAA divisions.
Kirk also has been nominated for the Adidassler Award as best senior soccer player in the nation. The winner will be announced in January at a convention of intercollegiate soccer coaches. Kirk, a Granada Hills resident, is the first CSUN player to be nominated for either award.
