Washington Bullets center Moses Malone was fined $3,500 and Milwaukee Bucks forward Jack Sikma was fined $1,000 for their parts in a Feb. 15 fight. Malone initiated the confrontation, and Sikma retaliated in the game at Landover, Md.
Rod Thorn, National Basketball Assn. vice president of operations, also fined five players for their roles in a Feb. 12 fight at Phoenix between the Suns and Indiana Pacers. Pacer guard John Long received a $2,500 fine, and Sun guard Jay Humphries was penalized $1,000. Also, forwards Ron Anderson and Greg Dreiling and guard Scott Skiles--all of the Pacers--were fined $500 for leaving the bench area.
