In other boys’ Division I games:

Monte Vista 72, Chula Vista 44--James Fraser scored 20 points to lead four Monte Vista players in double figures as the visiting Monarchs (11-12) took control early and were never threatened. Scott Winnie added 16, Joe McNaull 14 and Halifu Johnson 10 for Monte Vista, which will play at No. 2-seeded Poway on Thursday. Sean Desmond had 20 points, including six three-pointers, for Chula Vista (12-16).

Hilltop 62, Orange Glen 58--Mark Dirksen scored 13 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter as host Hilltop (13-15) rallied to beat Orange Glen. Hilltop trailed, 16-5, after one quarter and 41-32 after three. Mike Marques added 10 points for Hilltop, which will meet No. 3-seeded Valhalla in the second round. Shannon Macklin led Orange Glen (5-20) with 15 points.

Mount Miguel 69, San Dieguito 54--Mount Miguel handled San Dieguito’s trap defense and outscored the visitors, 25-15, the final quarter to pull away. Anthony Rivera scored 27 points, Robert Griffith added 21 and Domingo Rivera had 10 for Mount Miguel. Jeff Zevely had 17 points for San Dieguito. Mount Miguel (11-12) will meet top-seeded Santana in the second round. San Dieguito finished 10-15.

GIRLS

Mount Miguel 41, Sweetwater 35--Mount Miguel’s defense held Sweetwater to 17% shooting for the game at Sweetwater. Jolinda Bone led Mount Miguel with 14 points and Jamie Brittingham added 11. Mount Miguel (4-20) will play at second-seeded Santana (22-1) Thursday night. Cassie Jackson led Sweetwater (8-11) with 13 points.

Granite Hills 52, Hilltop 35--Granite Hills will play No. 1-seeded Point Loma Thursday night.
