They’ve played peek-a-boo with each other all season without meeting, but Bonita Vista and Torrey Pines made sure on Tuesday that they’ll see plenty of each other at Friday’s San Diego Section 3-A girls’ soccer championship.

Top-seeded Bonita Vista (25-2) scored two first-half goals and held off Granite Hills, 2-1.

In the other semifinal game, second-seeded Torrey Pines (21-2-1) scored twice within 100 seconds to break past San Dieguito, 3-0.

Both matches were at Torrey Pines, which may be the site of the championship. The section has hedged on whether the school will be the site, as originally planned, because the Falcons’ boys and girls teams advanced to the final. A decision is due today.

Though Bonita Vista and Torrey Pines played in two tournaments together, rare losses kept them from meeting. The two have met in the title match before, with Torrey Pines winning in 1982 and 1984. That and last year’s four-overtime tie with Valhalla in the championship motivate Bonita Vista, said Baron senior sweeper Ronne Pietila.

“Our theme is no more ‘co,’ ” said Pietila.

The ever-present Pietila ensured that Granite Hills (16-5-3) rarely shot on goal. The Eagle goal, by Tanya Slojkowski, came off a penalty kick with 17:30 left. Kim Komara and Megan Koneval put Bonita up by two about 20 minutes into the match.

For Torrey Pines, Stephanie Case headed in an early shot. San Dieguito (14-6-5) then pressured Torrey Pines much of the second half. But the effort left San Dieguito spent, and Julie Osborn and Danielle Napoli scored to put it away.
