Crawford 5, Clairemont 3--Jeff Wilcox pitched a three-hitter, and third baseman Manny Gagliano hit a three-run homer to pace visiting Crawford (3-2). Lowell Ellis went all the way in the loss for Clairemont (2-2).

Serra 9, Morse 5--Right fielder Alex Williams went 3 for 3 and drove in five runs for Serra in a game at Morse. Williams hit a bases-loaded triple in the four-run third inning rally. Gary Fadden was the winning pitcher. Mike Smith took the loss for Morse (2-3).

La Jolla 5, Christian 2--Jeff Schultz and Darren Kaffka drove in two runs each as La Jolla improved to 4-1. Willy Thompson went the distance for La Jolla for his first win.

Warhawk Tournament

Bonita Vista 4, Point Loma 3--With the score tied, 3-3, after five innings, Bonita Vista (4-2) used a pair of singles, a walk and a sacrifice fly to score the winning run in the sixth. Teddy Ehrhardt opened the sixth with a walk, and Craig Catlin and David Tappan followed with singles. After a strikeout, Art Adrid lofted a sacrifice fly to left field to send Ehrhardt home with the winning run. Michael Maio struck out four and went the distance for Bonita Vista to go 2-0.

Kearny 6, San Dieguito 1--Brian Archer and Ronnie Biggica combined on a two-hitter as Kearny (3-1-1) defeated visiting San Dieguito. John Williamson had three hits and drove in three runs for Kearny.

Hoover 17, Mar Vista 2--Felipe Preciado did it all in Hoover’s lopsided six-inning victory on the road. At the plate, he went 4 for 5 with two doubles and five runs batted in. As a pitcher, he went the distance, giving up six hits, to pick up his first victory of the season. Hoover is 2-4.

Sweetwater 5, Madison 3--Benjamin Gil pitched a four-hitter, and Sweetwater took advantage of three Madison errors to win at home. Sweetwater is 3-2-1. Madison, which played with three starters out with the flu, is 5-1.
